After Arsenal beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, I embarked on a Nandventure which involved a pleasant 2-mile walk into the heart ot Croydon for a new Nando's. This is the older of the 2 Croydon Nando's although it did have a refurb around 3 years ago.

My visit started off badly when the greeter failed to greet me properly, instead he looked at me while cleaning and asked what I wanted. I said a table and he told me it would be five minutes. Two men walked in soon after me and decided to allocate themselves a table as they weren't greeted properly either meaning they got a table before me, not exactly fair.

I went to use the facilities before ordering and they were on the dirty side of the spectrum. The stairs leading to them also had rubbish sitting on them, hardly impressive.

My food came, but was hugely disappointing. It was the sort of half chicken and peri chips that would make less devoted Nando's lose faith in Nando's. There was hardly any sauce on my chicken and a pitiful amount of peri salt on the chips. Also there was something hanging off the edge of the plate, cleanliness was poor! It was hardly a surprise given I found a grain of rice in a fork that I picked out of the fork pot when collecting my cutlery, oh dear! I told the manager that I wasn't happy with the chicken so she took it back and added some more sauce, obviously I'd have preferred it to have been cooked in properly but I wasn't willing to complain again. A Nandoca kindly topped up my peri salt and I finished off my food. The chicken was on the small side, by the way.

Overall, I was happy to leave this Nando's and nobody said goodbye to me properly when I did, maybe because I was in my Arsenal shirt, who knows!? Safe to say, I won't be returning to this Nando's ever again.
