Dover - St James Square - James RYN Review
I was surprised to see the reviews for Dover Nando's are not so great, so I thought I had better try it out myself to see if things have improved!
Firstly the decoration, which is probably a 4.5/5, but on this occasion I'll award a 5/5. The whole restaurant is very new, completely clean, and has a nice little outside area, which on a hot spring lunch time, was the perfect place to sit! Only criticism there is that all the sauces, drinks, cutlery etc are right at the back, which is quite a long way from the outside area (at least longer than the average walk in a Nando's). What struck me the most about the decoration was a huge photo (yes photo, NOT art) of an African man dressed in a cloak made of keyboard keys - a very striking piece to study as you order!
Food itself arrived after about 15 minutes, but was sadly quite average. My butterfly was rather dry and burnt on top, while a salad we ordered came without feta cheese. This was soon corrected, but overall it didn't quite achieve an average 3.
Staff were all very friendly and had a smile on their faces. Manager quickly brought us feta cheese when we pointed out it was missing, and he even gave us extra to make up for it.
