Dublin - Mary Street - Marc Joss Review
My first Nando's outside the UK and my 130th different Nando's was a memorable affair for all the right reasons! SVC and I arrived at lunch time having flown to Dublin from London at breakfast time and were warmly greeted by manager, Jason. The restaurant was busy but we were seated straight away and there was no queue to order, great stuff.
A rather lovely Nandoca called Jarek took my order in this rather small but exciting Nando's. There are various eye-catching pieces of art, particularly on the left as you come in, the ceiling is rather funky and some impressive pottery also sojourns in this fine restaurant.
The food was brought to the table in less than 5 minutes which was absolutely amazing considering basically every table (around 25 I'd guess) was occupied. The food was excellent: big chicken pieces, lots of chips and halloumi was perfect. My only small grievances are that my chicken was not spicy at all (I'd ordered extra hot of course) and as I got towards the end of my large peri-chips, I could have done with some extra peri salt. I was completely satisfied on polishing off the final pieces of chicken on my plate.
In terms of a comparison with UK Nando's, the only difference is euros not pounds. The menu is exactly the same and Nando's cards are accepted which makes sense.
All in all this was a great meal and manager Jason was particularly friendly. Time for another Nando's in Dublin tomorrow!
