OVERCHARGED BY €400 AND YET TO BE REIMBURSED 1 WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS
We had a terrible experience at Nando's in Santry Dublin last week 16th of Dec 2015.
The cashier incorrectly charged me €440 on my debit card instead of €44 for a meal for 3 adults and 1 child.
The receipt amount was €44 in total and I only realised this when I happen to view my online banking current account statement balance that evening that I had been overcharged.
I immediately called the branch to highlight the huge discrepancy that same evening. In short the management have acknowledged that error was on their side and that it was the cashiers mistake. They have stated that I will have to wait up to 10 days for the €400 to be credited back onto my account. I asked if I could go up and get the amount back in cash however they refused this request.
Given the time of year only a week before Christmas this is an unacceptable timeline to effectively only be credit back the money after Christmas and in 2016!
This error on Nandos part has impacted my ability to purchase Christmas and Santa presents for my family.
It has ruined our family's Christmas and I feel that is it unacceptable. I am still waiting to hear back from the companies Managing Director and on the 22nd Dec I have still not received my money back from this firm.
