Ealing - Bond Street - Ryan Review
So as with so many times recently, I headed off to do a double Nando's in London and first stop was Ealing Bond Street. I parked in Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre which is just a couple minutes walk from this Nando's and is reasonably priced (open 6am-midnight) at £1/1hr, £2/2hrs, £2.50/3hrs, £3/4hrs and upwards from there with a Sunday offer of £1 (10:30am-5pm). Ealing Broadway Train and Underground Stations are also a five minute walk away.
I got to this Nando's at about 7:45pm and it was about half full, so no wait at all and the food came in just under five minutes!
As you enter this Nando's, there are two sections of seating to the left and right of the entrance which has a mixture of small and large tables all squeezed against each other. A couple of larger booths are ahead of you from the entrance towards the till area and behind the hand washing station - along with a big curved seating bench for waiters and lots of space to queue/wait at the tills.
Over towards the back left there are several sort of large crinkle cut columns acting as as separators and behind these the entrance to the toilets downstairs. The toilets are pretty standard but are McDonald's-esque in that they have waterless urinals...
On the left hand wall from the entrance (by these large crinkle columns) are long strips of tree bark. On the right hand wall are a couple of large canvas paintings. The lighting is made up of mainly spot lighting all on the wooden clad ceiling.
Being my first meal I opted for the fillet burger and rice. I got an above average size fillet on the burger and it was nice and moist and particularly saucy, but also received a lean portion of lukewarm portion rice.
Staff were fine and doing as expected.
