Edgware - Marc Joss Review
Nando’s lunch followed Nando’s dinner the previous evening at my local branch Edgware. Friday lunch times can be tricky affairs (all the more so leading up to Christmas) but this was not the case as we were offered our choice of table. We swiftly placed our orders and low and behold, the usual big group problem was about to rear its ugly head. On this occasion, the first member of the group to order received his food at least 15 minutes before the final 2 and the restaurant was no more than half full! On top of that, the first order was clearly rushed as the chicken wing on the breast was completely burnt. I’m glad to say I’ve never been served a completely burnt wing; it sure would be a problem for me as I consider the very end of the wing to be the best bit of the chicken! Luckily the cooking error was hardly noticed by the consumer on this occasion. As for my chicken, it was good but nothing spectacular. The chips portions were healthy if not too large for some people to handle.
The local area is ok but no exciting bars and little general entertainment is available in the vicinity apart from shopping in the Broadwalk. In terms of a night out, I would recommend Nando’s and then hopping onto the Northern Line and heading into London (Camden or Shoreditch for example) as nightlife is extremely limited in Edgware.
