Edgware - Ryan Review
As pointed out by other people who have reviewed this branch, it's as avergae as you can get... The only thing that made this bearable was the good company! :-) Met up again with RYN's own James again to see the delightful sites of one of his local Nando's. I feel for him... If this is the standard he has to live with then a permanent move back to Birmingham is in order.
Parking is free after 6:30 on the road. Spaces on the high street are not plentiful, but the further away you go the more street spaces there are. I had about a 6 minute walk, so fine. Otherwise Edgware station is opposite the Nando's.
I arrived around 7:30pm on a Tuesday night and was seated straight away. It was supposed to be a four-seater table... but you cold only just squeeeeeeze two high chairs underneath it. I'm only 6ft 1" and could not get my legs under the table properly - and even then had to put the other chair pushed back from the table a little into the aisles. This table was next to a wall as well so no room to move your arms. All the tables are like this too - close together.
The decor is also pretty standard. Plenty of lights filling the ceiling - all with orange lampshades, making it nice and bright, but that's about it. A couple of art pieces on the walls but nothing unique.
There was no wait to order for me... but although James was next to order he was interrupted by the phone. Ahh! I hate it when that happens! Why do phone orders always get priority?? There was then a wait of 29 minutes from my order to the food being delievered.. and sadly, it wasn't worth waiting for. The chips were a little cold and the chicken was the driest I have had for quite some time. Barely any marinade/sauce, slightly burnt and very dry chicken. James' leg was a bit more tasty which he lovingly passed across :-)
The staff did what was expected of them too. Not rude - but nothing special.
Overall....... probably a little below average!
