Edinburgh - Chambers Street - Marc Joss Review
Time for the Edinburgh festival and a great chance to tick off a few new Nando's off the list, the first of which is the most convenient one for the Fringe at the heart of the hustle and bustle on Chambers Street.
We arrived just after 12.30 on a Tuesday and the restaurant was fairly busy. By 1pm it was completely packed with various groups having to wait to be seated so timing is crucial during the biggest arts festival in the world! I was told that as this is the busiest Nando's in Edinburgh in August, other Nandocas get sent here to help out to cope with the crowds. A logical move!
Unfortunately I had to wait over half an hour for my food although two members of the party received their food within 15 minutes. Far from ideal.
The food itself was ok. Decent portion sizes but not enough sauce on the chicken, not enough peri salt on the chips and some more spice would not have gone amiss.
The restaurant is quite funky with some cool lighting in place and lots of natural light. The seating was different from the usual with very large green chairs, spacious! The male toilets were decorated suitably with various pieces of artwork so it's a 4 for décor.
Let's see some of the other Edinburgh Nando's compare!
