This was indeed my very first visit to Nando's in Edinburgh Chambers Street. However I was accompanied with my teenage daughter Gabi, who informs me that it is her fifth visit...no stranger there then. We had been out shopping in Princes Street and decided that a late lunch was in order. Gabi quickly selected the perfect venue.....Nando's with the promise of fresh spicy chicken wrap and a cooling refreshing drink.

The restaurant is readily accessible for shoppers and we didn't have to worry about parking as we had taken public transport...so no hassle with parking tickets and the dreaded traffic warden, and with the trams up and running , it's kind of fun to go for a spin and enjoy the scenic route around Edinburgh.

We entered the restaurant around 3pm.....shown to table 23 right away ....although in the center of dining area it was still a pleasant area to dine and didn't feel intrusive . The restaurant was half full so not too much noise ,just a chatting vibrant atmosphere murmured below the African Latino music playing in the background. The art work was very African based ...lots of vibrant colours that drew your eye into the picture. The aroma of freshly cooked chicken was apparent mingled with all sorts of spicy aromas.......and your attention focused on the open grill as you walked in fro the street.

Service was prompt and with a welcoming smile we both felt at ease and not rushed into ordering straight away . Gabi having pror experience knew exactly what she wanted....but I preferred to peruse the menu and spend some time deliberating what tasty concoction I should try first. Gabi opted for her favorite chicken wrap with potato mash and a Irn Bru. I finally decided on for the heavenly Churasio Thigh Burger with Cheddar Cheese in a Portuguese Roll smothered with Barbecue Churasio Perimaise...totally delish.....and a refreshing orange juice.

We didn't have to wait long at all .....10 minutes max and we were tucking in to heaven.....Jamie Oliver may make incredible 15 minute meals ...but Nando's you are up there with the best !

I'll certainly be back for seconds ....and talking of seconds we both opted for the Bottomless Frozen Yogurt desserts......with optional refill.....brill.

What can I say my first impression of Nando's was top rate ....and great experience to share with your best mate......and by leaving an empty plate.......do I really have to further state........I'm impressed .....Nando's you're the best.
Nando's Fit for a King ,Queen,Princess .Prince or just the ordinary Joe.......Nando's is the place I'd choose to go !!
