Eltham - Ryan Review
This Nando's is located on the High Street next to/underneath the new Vue cinema. There is a Sainsbury's just behind the Vue which offers free parking for customers, otherwise the nearest car park is Orangery Lane, priced at Mon-Sat 9:00-17:30 15mins/30p (and free outside these times). Eltham train station is less than half a mile walk away.
This Nando's is not very big. It's just over the ground floor (with toilets upstairs). AT the front of the restaurant there is a large girder with hundreds of little glass pieces hanging down from the ceiling around it - making it look like a big wavy tree. Towards the back are some booths. It is a little plain, with only a handful of paintings on the wall - but this wavy tree thing is a real eye-catcher. The toilets are bright orange!
Arrived here around 8:30pm and it was fairly quiet, so the food came in under 10 minutes. I went for the boneless platter. The four thigh fillets were a bit on the thin side, so were a little dry and the butterfly chicken breast was the same - only it was very dry. The chips, rice, supergrain and coleslaw were all standard sized portions. Chips were hot and crispy and the rice hot and moist.
Staff were pleasant and doing as expected.
