Epsom - Pompey Ranger Review
It was a sunny lunchtime after dropping people off at Gatwick I decided to head over to epsom to check out the nandos. Was lucky enough (and willing to gamble on time) to get one of the 30 minutes free spots on the main road through the rail bridge. There is a NCP car park imediately by the nandos or is close to train station and town centre. Good apearances from outside. Bit of a queue when entered but was seated within a couple of minutes by a very freindly staff member. Store is small but clean, no booths which is a shame but a mixture of soft benches along the walls and trad wood chairs. Very small amount of decoration but could do with more and likewise soft furnishings plain.
Bit of a queue to be served which took 5 mins as confused people purchasing and only one till open (but would rather staff were doing important things like cooking chicken than maning tills.) Got my beverage and sauces from the small clean area at back of store (sauces were on side wall in what looked like a bookcase) and had only just sat down and food was at my table which really impressed me especially as how busy the store was.
Food was spot on and succulent and lots of sauce with plenty of fries. Only draw back which didn't bother me too much but would have ruined meal for people like my mum was the plate had a massive chip out of the edge of it and could have been done with being donated to a greek restaurant for a smashing time.
Toilets at back very small. I liked the sink a lot but apart from that very boring/dull although clean. Managed to buy and eat my nandos in time to get back to my minibus within the half hour. Very attentive freindly staff all said bye as i left and made this store so nice, But if nandos has some money in its decoration fund left please send some more epsoms way.
