Etobicoke - Marc Joss Review
Our third Nando's in three days was another success. Etobicoke Nando's was around a 15-minute drive from our hotel and seemed the ideal destination as it is towards Pearson airport which we were heading to afterwards. There is free parking here and a range of cool shops that my wife enjoyed and even a good-value pedicure is available as a classic post-Nando's activity!
The staff were lovely and welcomed us in. We were seated at a nice big table with comfortable sofa seating allowing us to sit next to each other. Ordering was seamless and I went for my first Canadian half chicken with peri fries. It arrived after around 15 minutes (speed of service seems slower here in general) and the chicken was smothered in sauce. They don't offer garlic bread as a side, but as an appeteaser, and the halloumi that I ordered yesterday was small so I just went big on the fries. Their extra hot and garlic table sauces worked well together, but they don't serve mayonnaise here as a free dip. It's perinaise or nothing!
The peri fries don't show visible signs of peri salt sprinkled on them, so I believe the spicing process is different. They are delicious either way!
Another big perk is the free wifi which I used to type up this review while still at the restaurant! Next up is DC Nando's! A big thumbs up for Canadian Nando's all round.
