Farringdon - Pompey Ranger Review
This store is right next to the Farringdon Underground and Train stations on a pedestrianised road amongst other eateries. The exterior wasn't that impressive and quite dark with a row of seats facing against a narrow table on the outside window. Inside it is similar with the row of chairs facing a window and also against a side wall. There is proper seating towards the back of the store and in the basement there is two large booths and seating in the middle which blends itself well to visits from large groups other than you have to access the toilets through it. The toilets were spacious clean and colourful.
I wasn't overly impressed that as i was by myself i was made to sit on a chair facing into the wall just 6 inches away and without artwork but parquet wooden walling. The stool had no back and was uncomfortable, the table narrow and the experience unpleasant. I wouldn't come back here by myself again as i would sooner eat a soggy train sandwich than have to stare into a wall balancing on a stool eating my nandos.
The serving staff didn't seem to understand what a gift card was and were keen and insistent on trying to get me to complete the online feedback even drawing over my receipt with their name and highlighting the website. I was fuming I like to keep my receipts, not have them covered with newbie staff pen and i just wanted them to hand it over not waffle onto me about how i must go on line. The fact i'm not using a menu and my reward card has 9 rewards on it should be a hint i don't need someone to explain how to give feedback. My mood never recovered as i returned to head butt the wall immediately in front of my uncomfortable stool.
Food came out very standard
