Feltham - Elliott Review
Where else for Nando's Cheeky Cheeky number 83? Feltham of course!
Arrived Feltham, and met Gerre, where we headed along the high street on the quest to Nando's. Arriving, we were soon greeted and picked our own table, Number 7, near the door but far enough away from the door that you didn't get a draught. After an incredibly short glance at the menu (of course we have been to Nando's before!) it was up to the till to order our meals, the reward for scouting out Nando's 83! But will cheeky cheeky be number 83? I ordered, and was served with great ease by a very competent Nandoca. After this, I pottered over to the table via cutlery and sauce.
My meal arrived after 20 minutes exactly, which although initially was a little disappointing considering the outlet wasn't that busy, the food was simply immaculate and had clearly been taken care of. I ordered a Churassco Thigh Burger Mango and Lime, with chips and salad to accompany it. The burger was just so tasty. There was a river of mango and lime sauce dripping from the burger, which really brought out the zesty flavour in the marinade. The fusion with the coleslaw really worked well, with a hint of cheese dripping in there too. The thigh itself was really well cooked, tender on the inside, and really juicy. The Portuguese roll that the burger came in seemed larger than usual, whilst being warm and crisp, really adding to the ex-peri-ence. The chips were deliciously light and soft, which was also washed down with a dripping of Peri-tamer sauce which I requested once my meal arrived. The salad was crispy and cool too, really refreshing.
The decoration of the outlet is very well kept. The outlet is split in to four 'areas', the first being to the right as you enter the door, where I sat, and contains a small number of tables and chairs propped against the window and the partition with the walkway. The second area is to the left, which again has tables and chairs propped against windows, but can accommodate many more Nando's fans. The third area is the till and grill which is at the rear wall as you enter, and the fourth is the external seating area which was all set up on this visit for the glorious sunshine we had! The cutlery and sauce area is immediately in front of the till and grill. Toilets are located to the right of the till and grill. The cleanliness of the outlet overall was fairly good, although slightly let down by the toilets that could do with some TLC.
The outlet is located on Feltham high street, and is easily accessible by South West Trains to Feltham station, and London Buses from Heathrow Airport or Twickenham. There is a large shopping area including an Asda, and a Wetherspoon slightly further up from Nando's, and there is also a leisure complex over the road and behind a block of flats. This contains a bowling alley, BINGO! and cinema. I arrived by train from London Waterloo, and found it incredibly easy to get here.
Overall, a great little outlet with an incredible meal that was worthy of being described as 'cheeky'! Would certainly come here again if I was in the area, just so delicious!
