Fulham - North End Road - Ryan Review
Well with the M26 closed and the M25 closed in both directions, the only way to get home from Kent was to go through London - so it gave me a good excuse to visit the new Nino Nando's in Fulham. This new Nando's is just a few minutes walk from the existing one in Fulham Broadway, which is where the nearest tube and parking is found, with the parking priced at £2.80/hr. There's a Vue Cinema inside Fulham Broadway too.
This is just the second Nino Nando's to be opened and compared to the other one in Twickenham, this is much smaller - it should be called 'muito pequeno' Nando's as it is that small. It's clearly geared for takeaways and nothing else. As you enter there are four two-seater tables to the left and four high stools at a breakfast bar to the right... and that is it! The till is directly in front of you with the waiting space for collections being the small area between all of the seating. As with Twickenham, there's a single unisex toilet cubicle at the back - but it's so cramped, that be careful when you open the toilet door from the inside - as the bin for the staff to scrape the food into is right outside so I clonked one of the staff members when opening... sorry... For a nicer sit down meal, you do need to go to the other one in Fulham Broadway.
Being geared to takeaways, the food came in double quick time in only three minutes. I had the sunset burger and chips. The thigh fillets on the burger were a decent size and well cooked and the chip portion was above average in size and they were all hot and crispy.
There was very little for the staff to do as I was the only one in there and no collection/deliveries happened for the whole time I was there... so I did try and strike up some chat but they were all purely business... or maybe it was just me.
