Glasgow - Xscape - Pompey Ranger Review
This store at the Xscape ski and leisure centre has a wealth of free parking around it. There is a fake snow ski slope here along with a climbing wall, cinema, bowling centre and a wealth of other activities and restaurants. The store is at the back of the centre and has spilled out onto the corridor though the windows at the front rimmed off by some banners, However it is dark dingy and bleak out in the corridor, plagued by loud noise and people walking past. There is not a good ambience out there so when I was offered to sit out front I decided to wait longer to get a seat inside. I was given a booth which was good from the staff.
The store was quite disappointing, bland beige and dark, a lot of the bulbs had blown in the chandelier and the over table lights. It wasn't done to save energy as some had all 3 still working and some had none working and there was no pattern to it. This store needs some heavy investment into new light bulbs and a ladder to fit them, also some feature art work. You might think I'm being over pedantic but I had a lot of time waiting to notice. I was also waiting along with other customers for forks, which after I asked did arrive wet straight from the dish washer.
I ordered my food and then waited and waited. 32 minutes I waited for my food! 32 minutes for half a chicken, spicy rice, salad and bread roll. When it did come the salad portion and rice were of a good size and tasty, but the chicken was over cooked. I wouldn't have minded a 32 minute wait if they had got it right when it did come out.
