Glasshouse Street - Blaynos Review
Nando's Glasshouse Street is just off Regent Street towards the Piccadilly Circus end. This is another London restaurant which is primarily at basement-level, with just a friendly Nandoca at street level to welcome you in. A short wait for a table, which is to be expected on a Friday night, and we headed downstairs where it all turned a bit sour...
Was out with a couple of mates and just a chilli short of an orange reward, so one of my mates used my card first to order his food and then I gave the same Nandoca my card and said "can I please use the reward?" She replied positively saying that I might as well and I ordered the wrap (which I rarely do because I never think it's worth the extra quid but get it sometimes with a reward). I still had a small amount to use on a gift card (courtesy of RYN) and it's only *after* I put my pin in that I realized she hadn't taken off the reward... to which she basically just shrugged it off, no apology and that "it's still on my card". Very annoying.
Drinks and service station are well placed, in between the two main seating clusters, and there was plenty of sauce available. Food took a few hundred years to come. Mine was about 15-20mins but one of my mate's was well over half an hour and he had to ask for it (which kinda ruined our meal)... When it came, there was no apology and no offer of anything additional for free (which Nando's is normally quite good with). His halloumi was also inside the wrap rather than a side but he didn't complain because a) he's not that kinda guy and b) he was too hungry). My wrap was very poor, seemed barely any chicken in it and just pretty bland altogether.
Staff only earns a '2' thanks to guy upstairs, who looked like he had a ton of customers waiting with him upstairs by the time we left. Massively disappointing experience.
