Great Portland Street - Adam Nicol Review
Another branch on my mission to visit them all, It’s pretty easy to find, if you’re traveling by tube you can get off at Oxford Circus then walk up Great Portland Street and it will be on your right or you can get off at Great Portland Street station and walk down the road and of course it will be on your left. It was pretty empty when we arrived and we got sat in a nice table for 4 next to the window, though there were only two of us, but we were grateful for the extra room as we needed it for all our food!
Friendliness of Staff – The staff were pretty friendly in this branch, though at first there only seemed to be one person working, the same person greeted us, served us and brought our food over, everyone else must have been hiding in the kitchen. I got a compliment on my awesome angry birds hat, I’ll give the staff 4/5.
Speed of Service – The food came in under 10 minutes, which is expected in an almost empty branch and we had been served immediately since there was no queue, so 4/5 for Speed!
Food – The food was pretty average in this branch, I got my usual and it all tasted delicious of course but wasn’t amazing. 3/5 for food.
Décor – I didn’t check out all the décor since I was too busy looking at my own reflection in the window opposite me, and checking out the amazing old buildings over the road, but there was nothing that stood out and it didn’t seem a very homely, cosy branch, maybe because it was day time and it feels better at night. 3/5 for décor.
Overall, a pretty average visit, though I loved the architecture of some of the buildings on this amazing road and I would recommend you visit this branch 3/5 for it overall!
