Guildford - Pompey Ranger Review

Parking in the car park on the small stretch of the High street west of the river is quite cheap in the evening and was only about a quid, Plus no height barrier means we could park the minibus and its a short walk over the pedestrian bridge and up the road.
The store looked very arty and smart from the exterior, I tried to enter the store with 3 friends but was told it would be a 20 min wait. At which 2 of my mates headed to lloyds to join the rest of the team. This meant me and my remaining friend were able to be seated straight away. The starter of houmous and pita was very nice. We ordered the full platter in lemon and herb as my friend isn't a spice fiend like me. Was a little disappointed as the chicken skin burnt and had charcoal flavor and no trace of lemon and herb or any sauce. But the chicken underneath was succulent so peeled off skin and fetched a hot sauce and meal was rectified. The store is quite compact with seating over 2 floors with a beverage and sauce station on each floor. Mix of seating and low lighting and sound gave the store an excellent ambiance. Very close to each other but because of lack of space. Disabled toilet under stairs and the sink was in a very small alcove next to it and limited space. The toilets were on the third floor and a total mission to get too but they are neat and benefit from fantastic artwork on the way up to them. would be happy to return to this store but only if chicken skin not charred next time.
