Halifax - Jodes Review
This was my second visit to a very much needed Nando's in my home town! My first visit was on opening day, which was very fitting as it was also my birthday! A lot of nervous newbies welcomed me!
Anyways back to the visit - the restaurant is located on the newly built plaza in the centre of Halifax. There are various restaurants and bars there (Frankie and Benny's, TGI Fridays, Wetherspoons etc). It also has a Vue cinema which opens this Friday. The plaza has a large multi story car park, which is fairly cheap. However there are plenty of alternatives in the town centre including a nearby Sainsbury's where you can park for free ;)
As it is new it was absolutely flawless! Very clean. Lovely décor, I especially liked the lighting! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and less in your face on opening day (must have been the nerves!) We were seated straight away which you would expect on a Thursday at 5:30. I ordered a plain medium chicken burger and chips - as usual I requested my chips were well done. My friend ordered wings, peri chips and peas. We had a little wait which was due to the wings (they must have been popular!) but we didn't mind as we were told this when we placed our order so kudos for the great customer service! We also had a 3yr old with us and he was provided with crayons, pictures and stickers which kept him occupied whilst we waited.
When the food arrived it was piping hot and cooked to perfection! My chips were well done! Yay! They listened and delivered! I was very impressed! I will definitely be getting my Nando's fix here again (probably far too much than I should!!!) If you want to see any pictures of the restaurant then go like the Nando's Halifax facebook page! It's rather good.
