Hartlepool - Ryan Review
This Nando's is on Anchor Retail Park - which is anchored (no pun) by a big Asda and Morrisons - so there is loads of free parking... although because the retail park is also next to Victoria Park, home of the might Monkey Hangers, there are some additional restrictions on match days. The retail park is also home to a Vue cinema and Hartlepool Train station is pretty much on the retail park too - and you are a stone's throw from Hartlepool Bay and the Marina - well worth a visit!
This Nando's was your standard layout - with the banquette seating around the sides and some booths at the back behind the sauces/drinks station. The main bulk of paintings on the very back wall above the booths was a bit obscured by the separating railings, so it didn't feel the most colourful of branches. Some wicker lampshades for the lighting as well as copper orbs. Toilets wre accessed at the back and were clean, if not a little dull - being completely decked out in different shades of grey...
This was my first post-lockdown 1.0 visit, so very pleased to be back :) It was about 1:30pm on a Monday afternoon, so in these times, it was pretty quiet with just a few tables in use. The new ordering process on the app/website was easy and the food came in under 5 minutes - and the staff were doing what was expected of them in these strange times.
I went for the chicken burger with chips and rice. Everything was piping hot. The chicken breast on the burger was a bit small and a bit dry, but the rice and chips were decent portion sizes.
Nice return to Nando's for sure! :)
