Headingley - Pompey Ranger Review
This new store is just behind the Headingley row of shops in the car park for a doctors surgery, The car park out front has a large number of signs warning that parking is purely for the doctors surgey alone and limited to 90 minutes and any other parkers would be fined through the courts. I asked inside and one of the staff said that it was the case but sh was parked there and just keep an eye out for the nasty parking warden so I decided to risk it for a biscuit and park. The store is quite narrow and long with a very much distressed concrete feel and a fair amount of art. To the left of the front door is a small patio area providing outdoor eating. In the store is a mixture of booths and wall edged tables with forms and chairs. I was offered to sit where I liked which is good in a almost empty store.
The staff were mega friendly and mega keen and very new to the job being a new store and the guy serving me was far far too keen that I had a gift card to use as it was his first time doing one and had only been trained in them that day. This created a very freindly atmosphere but they were also a bit slow and not quite on perfection yet. The guy bringing out my sweet potatoe wedges was un aware that he should have brought a tub of sauce and a tub of seed mix with them and I had to send him back to ask his boss what to do. Also the chicken was quite dry but i expect that this shall improve with time.
The toilets were bright and clean and they seemed to have more than ample coridor space around the place. I especially liked the bright green handwash sink. Condiment and beverage zone was also tidy and centrally placed in the store.
Definately a store I would return to and hope the staff ar still as excitably happy.
