Holborn - Blaynos Review
Met up with a couple of mates after work and walked down to this branch from Farringdon. Took about 10-15mins to walk down to Holborn station, and this Nando's is a stone's throw away from that (walking distance from Chancery Lane too).
It's quite a nice branch but a bit awkwardly laid out. Decor is nice, with decent paintings on the wall and good lighting... but the sauce station is on one side of the restaurant (unless I missed another hidden one) which isn't overly convenient. We were seated at a small booth near the entrance; the whole row is very close to the door and I can imagine it can't be the most comfortable area to sit in the colder months (luckily it was unseasonably warm outside).
Service itself was mediocre. Just one till was open when I went to order (with only a couple in front of me being served). There was someone standing on the next till but they were just chatting to a colleague (I reckon it may have been a manager telling a Nandoca what to do) which was pretty annoying as a queue was then beginning to form. Eventually got served and food took an average amount of time to come. My mate had to twice ask for mayo as it never came initially and this was altogether a spectacularly underwhelming visit... apart form the food, which thankfully was pretty good. It's a branch with lots of potential but, as I said, it's just a bit poorly laid out.
