Hounslow - Gerry Louis Review
Great service, great food. The staff here were excellent, very friendly.
Someone there to great us as soon as we entered, advised there would a ten minute wait for a table, no problem. Frank was there at the til with his nutty professor hair style again advising and apologising that there might be a twenty minute wait for food. A new thing I noticed though Frank did it here first was ask if I wanted a breast or leg for my quarter chicken which is new to me. I also ordered garlic bread and peri chips.
We were seated around the back in the second half of the restaurant the front being brightly lit and open, the back section a little dark and gloomy. At one point someone was turning the light on and off and I thought it was too early for disco as it was only about seven pm. The art work back there was a bit non-existent and as mentioned before it is quite dark back there. The front section and back section are separated by a corridor that houses the sauce and cutlery station, and the toilets opposite.
Food only took 10minutes to arrive and it was good. Large portion of chips and the garlic bread was really good. Wish I'd chosen a breast piece afterwards but with so many chips on the plate I sort of didn't miss the chicken.
Clean toilets, only two in the ladies but each toilet has a sink and mirror inside the cubicle which is quite convenient.
Close to hounslow east underground station and accessible easily by many buses in the local area just off the main high street. It's also by the bus garage so it's a location to ask for if lost.
