Comments - Stand out in our monthly competition! What did you eat? Unique aspects? Parking/transport tips?:

This was my first visit to the newly opened Hove branch (opened the beginning of this month), which I'm proud to now call my local! It's part of the Goldstone Retail Park (what used to be the mighty Goldstone Ground, home to the famous BHAFC, many moons ago) so the beauty of it is that parking is free, a rarity in Brighton and Hove, and you can benefit from some retail therapy before or after your Nando's experience. And this experience was, overall, a very positive one. We went at around 5.30pm, quite early for dinner actually...nevertheless the restaurant was pretty full - lots of hustle and bustle, which is what the Nando's spirit is all about, right? Our food arrived after an acceptable wait considering how busy it was and my partner and I enjoyed our Churrasco Thigh Burger (medium with rice and peas) and Half Chicken (extra hot, naturally, with corn-on-the-cob and fries) respectively. Our meals were just as we expected them to be and matched the high standard we are accustomed to from Nandos. However, the one negative aspect of the experience, and this is surely just reflective of the teething problems that any newly-opened branch will go through, was the layout of the tables. The restaurant is quite small in size, with approximately 40 tables positioned very close to each other, and not much room to walk around them in some cases. It felt like staff/customers were really having to push past us at times and I could see the same problem arising in other areas. However, apart from this forgivable teething problem (I'm sure the powers that be will recognise tables need to be removed/ the floor plan needs to be changed), it was a great first meal at the Hove branch and we look forward to going back soon! Would definitely recommend to all.
