Hull - Kingswood - Ryan Review
This Nando's is on a very large retail park spreading from the large Asda, Argos, Sports Direct etc to the area where Nando's is, which is next to the Hollywood Bowl and Cineworld. The nearest train station is back in Hull, so around 4 miles way. There is plenty of free parking all across the retail park.
From the outside this is a very plain Nando's - very non-descript, but inside there is lots more colour. The most striking thing is the counter. This is wood clad but painted in lots of different bright colours and this pattern stretches all the way to the right of the restaurant all the way to the toilets. The ceiling is made up of many long and large angled beams - some painted yellow, which have spotlights shining on them to brighten the yellow. There are a number of booth near to the coloured wall, made in a bright blue metal frame and bright red leather upholstery. Each of these booths has a nice red/orange wicker shade hanging above it - albeit a bit low as I saw quite a few people hit their head when getting up. Toilets in the back right and were tiled in red with a white/brown pattern too - very clean also.
Arrived around midday on a cold Sunday... so I went for a full platter and it came in just under 10 minutes. The rice portion was hot and moist, but the chips, albeit a huge portion, were very soggy. Not a crispy one in there at all. The chicken was hot and moist but a very small portion. Really struggled to get a decent portion of meat off any parts of the chicken, but it was cooked well and was saucy. A little disappointing I guess.
Staff were friendly and doing as expected.
