Huntingdon - Ryan Review
Arrived at this Nando's about 7pm and there were three parties waiting infront and a further four joined the waiting list after me - showing just how popular Nando's is in Huntingdonshire! This was only a 10 minute wait in the end.
This Nando's is located on Towerfields Leisure Park, which is also home to a Cineworld, a Sports Direct Fitness gym and other eateries such as Frankie and Benny's, McDonald's etc. there are hundreds of free parking spaces. There are some right outside Nando's but just grab one anywhere on the leisure park. Huntingdon train station is about 1.5 miles walk away too.
Outside there are a few tables shielded by wooden planters - but as always, it's no fun staring into a car park. Inside it's not the biggest and a lot of the tables are quite close together. There are eight larger circular booths down the middle of the restaurant which do take up a lot of space - but I guess that's to cater for a cinema crowd. In the full length windows are several two-seater tables all with very large bright beige lampshades above them. Above the circular booths are 8 or so large multi-coloured wicker lampshades which do add a lot of colour. The ceiling is a pitched wooden clad style - and there are a few small canvas paintings on the very back wall. Toilets are clad in reclaimed wood and were very clean.
The food came in just under 10 minutes and I wet for a half chicken with chips and rice and it was a good standard meal. The chicken portion was rather small, so not much meat, especially not on the leg piece - but it was cooked very well. The chip portion was again an average size and cooked well - but the spicy rice was a large portion but not piping hot. Overall, a standard meal.
Staff were doing everything as expected and were pleasant.
