Islington - Pompey Ranger Review
This store in well heeled Islington is close to Islington Green bus stops and also the Everyman art house cinema. The store didn't look much from outside and had a few tables on the pavement and two potted trees either side of the entrance. The store was much more welcoming on the inside with a small upper area with mix of tables and benches lots of art work on the walls and a white tiled serving area. Steps at the back of the store led down to a large airy barn like room with high ceiling and rooflights, wooden walls and large barn doors. The stairs then doubled back on themselves to a lower dark seating area and the toilets. The toilets were clean a large trough porcelain sink and dyson air blade drier. A little additional world cup decoration of flags around the tills was also in place.
My chicken didn't take too long was nice and tender on the inside but a little over charred for my liking on the outside. The chip portion was very generous, hot and well cooked with plenty of Peri sprinkle. The strawberry frozen yoghurt was very good too.
