Kensal Rise - Pompey Ranger Review
Balloons welcomed me to this store which gave the impression something special was going on and made the store look good from outside. The interior was exceptionally clean and tidy with bright colours, no dust on the window sill behind my seat which impressed me and they have plenty of coloured Barci masks on one of the walls which gave it a homely feel. The menus, Barcis on sticks and leaflets were in a very nice neat display unit by the entrance where there is a leather chair presumably to await takeaways or wait for tables and a Glass screen entrance to keep the bad weather out.
There were bright yellow bench seating on one side opposing brown leather seating and a good amount of art and copper disc wall features. The red and gold lamp shade also sparkled with cleanliness. Toilets out the back also had very interesting shaped tiles which were 3d on the walls and made the clean toilets a clean feature.
Staff were all very friendly, smiley and bubbly and I actually ordered a Halloumi cheese I hadn't planned to when the lady on the till was asking if she couldn't tempt me with any extra sides and I thought go for it. The griller was also prone by his grill ready to place the chicken on as soon as I made my order. The staff did all the essential checks on quality and if everything was good and said good bye to me when I eventually left. Couldn't ask for more.
The food was good, loads of peri salt on my generous portion of chips, salad fresh crisp and plentiful, chicken hot and succulent and Haloumi cooked to perfection.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant to people and I would be happy to return.
