Kentish Town - Gerry Louis Review
Got kicked out of Kentish town library and got soaked in the rain heading down to this nandos branch, half running, half taking shelter under store covers. This branch is pretty convenient to get to, half way between Camden road underground and Kentish town underground plus the overground. At least six different buses traverse this road, one taking you all the way to Tottenham court road. This branch is also on the high street and hard to miss so at least it is easy to find.
Dripping wet and cold it could hardly get my Nando's card or gift card out my pockets and bag but once sorted ordered my usual half chicken mango, sweet mash, halloumi and garlic bread. Just to be extra piggy I also ordered a gooey cheesecake as I would use my winning gift card for review 20 something that I won. I was hoping this plentiful meal I ordered would cure the hangover and headache I had since 8 that morning especially as I also had a gym class I couldn't cancel. A steak bake, nourishment and bag of wotsits were no help at all but the Nando's kept me sane!
The food took only seven minutes to arrive which is good of course but the chicken was still slightly pink inside and I think I got the end of the halloumi as it was quite a small portion size. The mash was nice and no complaints for the garlic bread, it all smelt great.
Despite me hiding the stick (is there an official name for it up Barci's butt?), I had 4 people come over to ask if my meal was okay... What they should have been doing is checking the toilets which were disgusting..
In general it was a nice visit. The staff made their presence known, the food was good but they sat a family ahead of me where the young girl continually growled like an animal, it was very distracting....
Nando's 89!
