Kings Cross - Blaynos Review
After a barren run of no Nando's visits in over a month while trying to save money, headed to Kings X after payday drinks with a couple of mates to get some peri peri chicken back in my life (admittedly, there had been attempts to get lunch from either Lime Street or One New Change earlier in Feb but queues were horrendous - look forward to Farringdon opening to hopefully be slightly more convenient!).
As usual for a Friday, there was a wait of about 10-15mins but staff handled the crowds efficiently and orderly. We were given a table right by the entrance to the left (window table), there was a notable draft at times but it wasn't too bothersome (a beer jacket certainly helped). Queued up to order and everything proceeded quickly once at the counter. One of the sauce/service stations was pretty bare but the one round the corner was slightly better stocked - and staff did well to keep the restaurant clean. Food came surprisingly quickly, especially one of my mates' - who ordered last but received his first. When it came, the chicken was perfect, huge butterfly burger (I loaded it with extra sauce), and the peri chips were good too.
Definitely worth the wait and, just like Westfield Stratford, a great job at keeping the turnover going during very busy times (take note City branches). Previously, we've actually walked down to Euston because the queue has looked too big at this branch but after this visit, probably not worth the bother in future!
