Leeds - Briggate - Gerry Louis Review
Second Nando's of the day, two hours since the last, it was near nine pm so had to be a small meal.
One of the three central Leeds Nando's It's actually quite small downstairs on the corner of the Briggate and Boar lane but there is an upstairs floor with more seating, and a further third floor which holds the toilets.
Got there just before nine and we were greeted by a cute young man who let me choose table four. Second table against the window apparently there was a table 0 here but no such table in sight. I had a great view facing outside the branch as people passed by in their best Friday night outfits, such a lively town. My quarter chicken m&l arrived again in 12 minutes and at first I was happy with it but by the end I wasn't so pleased. They gave me a leg quarter which I was thankful for considering my last meal. I hadn't had sweet mash in the longest time but that wasn't enough to save the meal. Also got some dairy in with a portion of halloumi which was only lightly grilled but tasted good.
I've scored them a four for decoration because under the counter is a collection of sauce bottles set up as a collage for all to see. As I got closer it looked like a picture but the girl assured me they were real bottles. There were also wild herb sauces in there which I thought to be a genuine waste as they don't serve these in any branch that I'm aware of. They had wild herb bulb shades hanging in two different styles but there isn't much by the way decoration or artwork here unless I missed it.
