Leicester - Granby Street - Pompey Ranger Review
Right in the heart of leicester it takes a bit of knowledge to work your way through the traffic system to get to the store as sat nav was confused, but once there, there is some parking albeit expensive right outside the store which was suitable for our minibuses. think it was about 2 quid for an hour.
There were 25 of us and they managed to seat us pretty much imediately on 2 tables and i was impresse with the speed of service for such a large group and it didn't phase the staff. I was recognised by the manager who knew my name after I had won a pumkin carving contest for a free meal on their facebook group which also offers special offers and student deals so worth checking before going.
It was armistice day and the store had a large number of adolesents in the charities top working in the store as part of a leicester wide community engagagement charity group so was good to see Nandos inolvdin this worth cause and without any loss in service.
We were marshalled into 3 queues for the 3 tills in a speedy manner by the floor staff and time for the service wasn't too bad considouring the number of us. My freinds were impressed to be recieving free burgers or free chicken with their student cards as part of an offer the store was running.
The store is spacious across one floor of seating and resembles a mxican cantina with white wash walls, arches and wood and terracota tile floors. Wide range of seating from booths, benches and tables. Lots of object d'art but could do with a few more paintings.
The toilets are downstairs and were again clean and spacious but the hand dryer in the mens wasn't working.
The chicken was top notch and I mean the very best cooked perfectly and with plenty of sauce, the sides were standard.
Granby street certainly lives up to its Hype and I woud now rank it in my top 5 favorite stores.
