Leisure Mall - Vick123 Review
I was absolutely delighted when my friend invited me to stay with her in Kuala Lumpur. She live in Cheras, just opposite the Cheras Leisure Mall, a modern shopping mall in 4 levels
I have visited Nando in the Leisure mall once before last year. I enjoyed my visit last time so I came back again this year. After a whole afternoon shopping in the mall, I decided to have something to eat. I know Nando is on level 2 in the mall because I have been here before. It is at the same floor as the cinema complex.
There were a lot off people hang out here in this shopping mall to get away from the extreme hot and humid outside temperature. The air condition system in here is very efficient. People come in here to cool down, have something to eat or just have a look around the shop.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a Nandoca who dress in a black outfit and also a scarf to cover her hair. She said “Selamat Datang” to me which means “Welcome” in Malay language. She also speaks very good English. It was late in the afternoon, the restaurant was busy. It was almost full with very few empty tables. There were a few parties of pupils still in their school uniform sitting, eating and chatting at the booths. She sat me down in one of the side table because I was by myself. It was a great atmosphere. People were friendly and happy, always give a smile when they see me. They were always really to have a chat with people on the next tables.
The decorations in the restaurant are very modern. It is quite compact. The wooden tables go well with the bright orange and lime green colour chairs. The lightings hanging down from the ceiling were rather chunky but nice. The tile mosaic and the wood floor form a nice pattern for the floor covering. Even though the restaurant is busy, it was still very clean and tidy. The restaurant was noisy with a few of the Nandocas all dress in black running around clearing the tables and making sure everything is Ok for the dinners.
I ordered a chicken fillet with chips and garlic bread and a bottomless cola to drink. It only cost me RM26.50 (£5.50), a little bit cheaper than UK prizes. The smell of the grilled chicken from the grill counter was lovely. I did not have to wait for long for my food to come. My chicken burger looked lovely and all covered with a rich sauce. It smelt good too. I added a bit more garlic sauce onto the chicken as well as onto the chips. The burger was tasty and the chicken was juicy. I can also tell that there is a slight different in taste between the Chicken in Malaysia and the Chicken in UK. May be they added extra onions or flennels in their marinate recipe .The chips and the garlic bread was nice and hot and crispy too, and bursting out with garlic flavour.
I love this restaurant because it is within walking distance from my friend’s house. It is also a very good way to stay out hot and humid weather outside.
I hope to come back again, may be next year. People are helpful, friendly and polite. They food is great with the right combination of spices in the chicken. I will definitely try out some of the Nandos in the City Centre in Kuala Lumpur next time.
