I'd ordered a chicken wrap and a veggie wrap was sent out - the staff then replaced my chicken wrap but had taken away my perinaise - when the chicken wrap came back it was hot instead of medium which I'd ordered, by which point I couldn't be bothered to complain.
Understandably busy in a central City location - however the wait was appalling.
When we finally sat down our food came so quick it was faster than McDonald's which is supposed to be fast food.

Disappointing!

8 minutes walk from Monument station on the district, ham and city, Waterloo and some other line, make for the M&S, turn left and you reach Lime Street. You'll feel like you're playing "where's Wally" whilst trying to spot Barcelos on his sign, but the Nando's is definitely there.

Nearest tube in Monument, so District line. the Nando sign outside is very hard to spot. poor first impression. do they honestly expect anyone to eat in what is basically an entrance hall? I hope not. the greeter scurried off, without a word, downstairs to the main seating area and turned around looking perplexed as we hadn't followed her. she showed us to a table tucked away around the corner. it wasn't a particularly nice spot but as the branch is so small, there was not much choice.

As a city boy lunches are often something that you are treated to. The Lime Street Nando's was a treat to myself. Unfortunately the treat was more of a trick as I entered the over crowded, dark, dingy restaurant. The basement dining hall has crammed as many people in as possible and there is barely space to stretch out and eat. It wasn't even peak time. One benefit of being in a basement was that no natural sunlight meant you could have been anywhere.

The place was pretty small and packed, but was worth the visit. I was served by a trainee which then progress to me being served by a manager. Was served around 10mins, pretty standard. The guy that served me the food was a massive arsenal fan and was proud to of served a fellow arsenal fan :D

overall I wouldn't go again the atmosphere wasn't right there and were more in getting people in and out of the place than letting people enjoy there meal.

This is a really odd Nando's as it's only open on weekdays. It's walking distance from Monument/Bank stations and tucked away almost behind Leadenhall market.

This central London store is in the heart of the city, close to Leadenhall Market, Bank of England, the walkie talkie building and the Gerkin meaning a high likelihood of bankers and traders so keep your hand on you wallet. The upstairs is quint and old worldly and is merely a entrance and till / waiting area for takeaway. If you request to eat in you are taken subterranean following the host either by grey concrete stairs or by lift.

I could easily give the decoration for this branch a 4.5/5, but given that rating doesn't exist, I feel I have to award a 4 so they have something to aspire to next time. Given that there was no ice in the ice machine or napkins in sight, perhaps this 4 is actually well warranted. Sort that out, and if I return I'll offer a 5/5 next time so the 4.5/5 average is obtained.

I loved the deco in this Nando's. Really varied, striking walls, cool mosaic patterns in toilets and rustic wooden theme throughout. liked that the Nando's had it's own takeaway section and display of Nando's sauces. Shame that the toilets were down a lot of stairs. With regards to food, I went for a mediterranean salad and half medium chicken. Skin could've been a bit crispier but overall nice and juicy and tender. First time i'd had the salad and was overall quite impressed.

It had been a while since my last visit to a new Nando's and this 2 month old branch served as a reminder as to exactly how big the differences between branches can be!

Found myself on a fleeting visit to London, so what better way than to stop off at the most recently opened Nando's - Lime Street??

As with most London branches, I would rate this as N/A for parking. The Banl tube station is a few minutes walk away so easy to get to. I happened to be at the Barbican, which itself was only 10/15 minutes walk away.
