We decided that being in a new city that it would only be polite to acquaint ourselves with the local Nando’s; and we were not too disappointed. Being a Friday Lunch time it was quite busy, but we were seated in about 5 minutes and all the staff were pleasant and efficient.
We found once we ordered food that there was quite a long wait, however when it arrived we were pleasantly surprised. In recent times we have all come to expect a smaller portion size at our Nando’s, apparently this seems not to be the case everywhere! The chip portions were back to the old standard; a welcome change. Whether this is a permanent feature remains to be seen - its a great start though.
Another nice little feature was hand washing facilities next to the drinks dispenser, so no need for sticky fingers (or a trip to the loo) after chowing down on your chicken.
The icing on the cake for me had to be the 20% NHS discount on offer to all NHS employees on production of a valid ID card :) Overall a nice experience right in the centre of Liverpool next to the Odeon Cinema in Liverpool One.
