Livingston - James RYN Review
Having hired a car at Edinburgh airport, I thought I'd head out of the city a bit to an unvisited Nando's. Unfortunately this was my most disappointing Scottish Nando's to date!
On walking in, no one was at the door or anywhere to be seen in the table area of the restaurant. One of the grillers saw me but did nothing (not his job I know), and after about a minute the manager came out and sat me down (staff already on 2/5). Ordering was fine and the food came in an average time, but was unfortunately a mixed affair. The double wrap was actually quite good, and worthy of a 4/5, but the chip portion was quite small, and luke warm, bringing the food down to 3/5 overall.
The thing that really dragged this ex-peri-peri-ence down was what happened after I finished the meal, which was unfortunately, absolutely nothing! I waited for 25 minutes (I checked my watch), and not a single Nandoca did a lap of the restaurant in the time. I could hear them laughing in the back, but no one actually out on duty. My food was long since finished, and I would have loved to try the new salted caramel brownie, but alas it wasn't to be. Maybe next time, but not at this Nando's! Of course as I left, no one wished me well or thanked me for stopping by...
