Manchester Fort - Ryan Review
This Nando's is located on the Manchester Fort complex and is home to large retail outlets such as Argos, Next, Sports Direct and other eateries including Subway and Pizza Hut. If you're travelling by car or walking, head for post code M8 8EP. There are hundreds of free parking spaces on the complex so great. If you do walk (as I did), it's only a mile from Victoria station/metrolink so will easily take less than 20 minutes.
This particular restaurant is stood as its own little beacon right in the middle of the complex. Two big wooden clad pillars on the outside with the big Nando's sign inbetween them. Inside the pillar theme continues with multiple pillars (looking like palm trees) dotted around the restaurant. These go right up to the ceiling which is all wooden clad. The seating is all table/chair/bench in the front section - and then behind the wooden stakes are several booths. Lighting is mainly spot-lighting with just a few funky orange lampshades. Limited artwork too - just a few canvasses over the booths in the back section. Toilets were a bit of a mess, with no soap and water all over the floor and basin. Average overall.
Staff were pleasant enough but just doing as expected. Arrived here at around 4pm and it was almost empty with just a few tables occupied, so there was no wait to order and the food came in just under 10 minutes. The food was great as well. Average sized portion of chicken, but it was cooked very well. Enough sauce on it and hot enough - but could have been saucier and hotter. The chips and rice were hot and crispy and hot and moist respectively though!
