Lunch time trips to Nandos, to shelter from the rain that was beating down on Manchester.

Walked in, and the resturaunt wasn't very busy. Took a while for the Nandoca to realise we actually existed, and were loitering within the doorway. We were given a choice of tables, to which I selected the booth, as I really like sitting in the booths in this resturaunt. They are slightly higher up than the rest of the outlet, and are slightly hidden away so you aren't disturbed by the many passing customers. We were given menu's, which I noticed had changed, which included some cheeky hidden price rises by combining items to one line so they are all the same price.

Placed my order, which was navigated with much ease. A gift card, rewards card, and credit card later, the order was complete.

The food arrived around 15 minutes after ordering, which is about right for this Nandos. There's no need to rush the meals, they're always of a good quality, and this one was no different. The burger was hot, I decided to not be as much of a chicken as before and order medium, which was lashed on the breast. The spicy rice was nice and spicy, and the coleslaw (a Nandos first for me) was pretty good too - nice juicy chunks, and plenty of herbs.

Finished off the meal and decided to also order caramel cheesecake, which again went down a treat. The dessert portion sizes do vary, last time I had quite a large slice, where as this one was nearly half the size. Nethertheless it was very enjoyable.

When departing, the resturant was that busy, people were being turned away. Just goes to show how it can go from empty to rammed within half an hour, primarilly due to it being located in Studentville (opposite Manchester Metropolitan!).

Nandos Manchester Oxford Road is hidden away from the Main Street, and is adjacent to the side entrance for Manchester Metropolitan University. The main Oxford Road is a short walk away, and the free Metroshuttle no 2 bus stops right outside. Car parking is available at the NCP next door (charges apply).
