Manchester - Piccadilly - Elliott Waters Review
After some debate amongst friends over which of the many Nando's to visit, Piccadilly was chosen much to my delight. We entered, and waited around 5 minutes before being shown to a table downstairs. After a little consultation on the menu, I headed off to order my meal. I was served fairly quickly, and efficiently, returning to my table not long after.
The outlet is on two levels, ground, and basement. The basement offers a much more secluded atmosphere, and having sat on both levels, I prefer the lower level. There is plenty of Nando's artwork around, and even after being open a year, the outlet still looks very fresh and new.
After a 15 minute wait, my food arrived. I ordered the delicious Churrasco Thigh Burger mango and lime with chips and spicy rice. The chips were fairly good, a few that were a bit soggy, but all washed down with some yellow pepper sauce. The spicy rice was good, plenty of spice on it, and very hot. Unfortunately, I found a big chunk of plastic in my Churrasco Thigh Burger, mixed in with the fino-coleslaw. Luckily I noticed whilst chewing that there was something 'not edible' amongst the lovely coleslaw, so I took it from my mouth, cleaned it up, and went to find a Nandoca. They quickly remedied the situation by refunding the meal and offering free dessert/drinks. They were incredibly appologetic about the whole occurence. Due to this, quality of food is reduced from it's usual high value, but friendliness of staff is bumped to a 5 for their swift action.
This Nando's is located in Piccadilly Gardens, very close to the main bus interchange and tram stop. Very easy to get too, and still remains my favourite in Manchester.
