Popped into the Spinningfields Nando's (in the Spinningfields complex of buildings/offices, so many eateries, high-end shopping outlets next to it) - and was pleasantly surprised with this one!

It's located just of Deansgate (the home of Corrie...) so parking is expensive. Spinningfields has it's own parking with other places also nearby. Parking in any local car parks is dear. I am sure locals getting the tram/bus know it's better to go by public transport if you can! I parked in King's Street this time and paid £6.90 for 2 hours.

Arrived at about 8:45pm, so it was dusky - which let the lights outside of Nando's shine brightly! A lovely little seating area that stretches across the glass-paned whole shop front, that is surrounded by large plant pots that are illuminated in the Nando's red - with a doorway/entrance covered in dot/spot lights (hundreds of them), making it a very striking entrance.

Inside the same dot/spotlights are plastered all over the till/checkout, which in addition to making it bright inside, makes it look rather chic, and so fits in with the buildings/area in this development.

I think it just looked better because it was all lit up at night, but hey - that's when I went!

Further grooved wood panelled ceiling and massive wooden pillars on either side wall give a nice rustic effect - and large brightly coloured canvas paintings in between the gaps of the wooden pillars by the walls. Booth seating against these walls with tables and chair seating dotted about in the middle and in the windows makes it a well laid out seating plan too.

Getting there at 8:45 I thought it would be busier than it was... There was one couple on one table already, but that was it. Infact from 9pm until 9:20pm - I was the only customer in the restaurant. The staff all seemed to use the downtime well, and were being precise with the table sauce filling and making very nice displays in the condiments area and ensuring everything was spick and span.

I was greeted, served and checked upon by Becky and Maz during the night who both couldn't do anymore (other than pay me!) in making me feel very welcome. Yes I was the only person in there, but still - they were excellent.

The food came in just over 4 minutes - and was delicious. Hot, moist, sopping in sauce, bright white meat - the chicken was superb. Hot crispy chips and delicious rice really made the meal very enjoyable (right up there with the one I had at Birmingham Broad Street recently). A nice white chocolate raspberry swirl for afters too - what a pig I am! :-)

Quick visit to the little boy's room too - and a stylish loo, immaculately clean complete with a nice Dyson made this a fantastic Nando's experience. Top marks!
