Manchester - Trafford Retail - Ryan Review
Stopped into this Nando's coming back from up North. It's located on Trafford Retail Park which is home to a large Dunelm, Boots and other shops and other chain eateries such as McDonald's and KFC. It's easily found, just off J10 of the M60 and is just 1/4 mile from the other Nando's here located at the Chill Factore and The Trafford Centre. There are a few dozen parking spaces outside Nando's but otherwise there are hundreds and hundreds of free spaces across the whole of the retail park. It's also 1 mile walk from Urmston railway station.
Arrived here at about 7:30pm and there was a 10 minute wait for a table, as there seemed to be a rush on, but after this there was never a queue for a table or to order. The food came in under 10 minutes as well.
Being so new it's a nicely decorated Nando's. There is a good mixture of seating with multiple booths and plenty of larger table/chair sets. In the window the lighting is dark brown metal domes. The real highlight is the back wall and ceiling is one big metal framework grid (like the re-enforcing of foundations), with yellow and red domes for lighting, orange and yellow plates on display and four large wicker chandeliers. There are artwork pieces resting on ledges above all of the seating - and the ever familiar orange/yellow tiling by the drinks/sauces. The toilets were clean with a bright yellow sink and a paper towel dispenser with paper towels (which is a rarity)!
The food was a standard meal. The half chicken was an average size (maybe with a little less meat on) and cooked well - not too dry but could have been a little moister. The chips were an average size portion with some hot and crispy but others soggy - and the rice portion was average in size too.
Staff were friendly enough but doing as expected.
