Merthyr Tydfil - ElliotP Review
After a 1-1 draw in the most drab football match I have ever watched (between Merthyr Town and Wimbourne FC), my friends and I decided we fancied a nando's, as you do.
This was, as many may say, a 'cheeky' nando's. A long walk through the town centre brought us to the welcoming tune of the Merthyr Tydfil nando's. This nando's is situated next to the vue cinemas, which is handy for a post-film meal.
Upon entrance to the nando's, we discovered the restaurant to be rather full, which resulted in a short wait before we were seated, but no problem, we are nando's veterans, we can wait.
Once we were seated, we partook in the first part of the 'cheeky nando's' ritual, informing social media of your arrival at nando's; this is an important step.
I then wandered over to the counter to order my beloved Butterfly Chicken (lemon & herb) with chips, garlic bread and perinaise. The perinaise being an underrated addition to the meal.
The food came quicker than you could say 'cheeky nando's'. The next part in the ritual then came, taking a photo of your meal to prove your nando's is in fact 'cheeky', bonus points if you put a filter on your photo. Upload to social media then, of course.
We devoured the nando's rather quickly, it was fantastic as usual.
Dessert soon followed, gooey caramel cheesecake, which tasted what I imagine love would taste like. Delicious.
And that was that, another trip to nando's. Merthyr Tydfil nando's is highly recommended as it performs exactly what you would expect, and slightly better. A cheeky nando's it was indeed.
