Merthyr Tydfil - Gerry Louis Review
This visit was a little disappointing and im not just going to blame the weather for it being dreary. I think it was one of the quickest meals I've ever finished and that's because there wasn't much there.
I was shown how to get to the branch by some local kids who've never been to Nando's before. We had a nice chat about the food and that he should try it sometimes. He was on his way to McDonald's in the leisure complex where the Nando's is next to a Vue Cinema and opposite Pizza Express and Harvesters. The leisure complex was about ten minute walk from Merthyr Tydfil bus station down the bottom of the high street.
Seated nearly straight away by a guy who was my personal assistant for the visit. The young, tall girl at the till advised me the rewards weren't working but I would still get my chilli for the visit and I forgot to use my ten pound voucher. Ordered quarter chicken mango and lime with garlic bread and peri chips and like I said there want much there. There were about ten chips on the plate with loads of peri salt and the garlic bread wasn't even grilled. There were some black burn bits on it but they hadn't finished...
They also don't have Barcelos on the tissues there which was a bit crap and the toilets.... One had no tissue and the other was blocked with over use. Obviously not checked often enough but I suppose everyone everywhere hates that job.
The branch had four tables outside which in the fine rain would have been horrible if not for the branch being covered over. There are two four seater tables to the right of the entrance (where I sat) and a larger seating area to the left of the entrance where everyone else was seated. Some are are in a central section under a wavy ceiling the others going all around shaped by the wall. There's loads of green plants too which is nice. And the bottles of sauce ae separated from the drinks and cutlery.
The toffee gelado tasted different.
