Middlesex Street - Gerry Louis Review
Less than a five minute walk from Liverpool Street Station though we were in the Wetherspoons having a drink. Was in the area for a work meal at the Duck and Waffle and thought I might as well take advantage of the limo ride to the East Side of London and go to Nando's.
Got there just about 7.25 and it wasn't another 5 minutes until a member of staff came over. He then gave the couple who came in behind me a table before seating me. Ordering was easy, the counter is up a few stairs as you enter the branch, on the same floor as the kitchen. Downstairs has store seating and a second till area as well as the toilets. The stairs have hanging chilli pepper lights which is quite cool.
Only a quarter chicken leg received and sweet mash this time which arrived in just over 15 minutes. I was offered livers at one point which was totally not my order. The chicken was really warm so they must've been waiting for the mash which was hot to touch and steaming. It had a nice taste but still needed sauce.
I didn't really enjoy the food and the wait for a table despite the branch being half full was annoying. Just no staff to be seen when needed. The toilets were cool though.
