Mile End - Gerry Louis Review
A great Nando's for reaching my 100th branch visit.
Less than five minute walk from Mile End station, exit left and pass Roosters Peri Peri which happened to be empty.
Greeted straight as I entered I was offered table six. Went to order and couldn't stop smiling. Daniela was very helpful, yes I'll have my orange reward (half chicken), sweet mash, halloumi and garlic bread with melted cheese on, didn't even know you could get cheesy garlic bread. Also had a gooey Caramel cheesecake which was nice.
Standard Nando's waiting time for food which was good, I thought there wasn't enough mash but I was wrong, the chicken had plenty of sauce, the garlic bread was a surprise and amazing with the mash on top. The cheesecake and cream were great.
This restaurant is really beautiful. A crescent moon/ semi-circular shape has seating on either side, the outside glass wall holding more seating opportunity than inside. There is space outside for seating in the summer though I'm not sure if they do that. There is a really nice water feature outside as well which makes an interesting feature even if not related to Nando's.
Plenty of pictures on the brick walls all clustered together and a centre spiral staircase leading to extra seating upstairs, so capacity is cool here. The restaurant was kept clean by plenty of staff whom are probably needed for the constant flux of uni students. The toilets were clean and there is a great atmosphere here. Daniela also gave me a card offering a free half chicken if I return to Nando's in the new year provided I spend a fiver, but I don't think that will be a problem.
