Had an evening event in the city just by Bank station and had about 45mins to spare before it so figured I'd try out a new Nando's - especially as I needed to eat before the drinks reception.
Had the choice of Bethnal Green & Mile End on the eastern half of the Central Line and picked the latter because it was much closer to the station. It's a 2-3min walk from it (turn left) and go under the garden bridge(?) This Nando's branch is really nice, it's on a curved corner with glass front and is spacious inside with a range of seating and a mezzanine-style floor above. Decent size sauce station is to your right as you enter and wasn't particularly well stocked although a Nandoca did refill it as I was there and the branch was very busy.
I'd ordered ahead but still had to wait a fair while to actually collect my food - even though I arrived late! No Nandoca to greet on entrance and three different staff served me - when all it needed was one just to pass me my food! Chicken burger was ok, had a decent bit of sauce on it but was a tad on the small side; halloumi was fine.
File this in the "great branch aesthetically but the rest leaves a lot to be desired".
