Nantgarw - Marc Joss Review
This Nando's visit was carefully calculated as an ideal stop-off on the long London-Swansea route for the Arsenal match. This restaurant is close to the M4 and has plenty of free parking right outside the Nando's which is located in a leisure centre with bowling and various other eateries nearby.
There are columns lining the outside of the building as you drive up to it and similarly to Manchester Fort and Stevenage Nando's, this one stands alone in its own structure meaning plenty of natural light enters the restaurant.
There was a short queue to order after some manager banter about how Merthyr Tydfil Nando's was rated higher than this one (before this review at least). All the staff were very friendly and happy to help.
The main courses for all 4 of us arrived simultaneously after around 10 minutes and my food was great. It was quite spicy, but I'd have preferred a little more kick. The peri chips and garlic bread were great. I also appreciated the fact that my mayonnaise was brought over in a ceramic container rather than a pitiful plastic take-away which never would have sufficed.
Decor is quite good with plenty of eye-catching art lining the walls as well as some comfortable booths down the middle.
After eliminating all chicken from sight, we embarked on the 45-minute drive to the Liberty Stadium. The match did not quite go to plan but at least we had a great lunch!
