National Harbor - Pompey Ranger Review
This is a very posh, well to do, overpriced development being built on the river front. Arriving at 8pm I was horrified to discover that the flat rate of entry to the multi storey car parking was $11 after 8pm even on a Sunday. I therefore searched around to find a on road parking space which was an extortionate $3 an hour, since this is just an out of town shopping centre its fairly shocking that they would bend their customers over and take advantage before they even get out their car.
The store is below a block of flats and looks quite modern in style and benefits from a large red Nandos heart at it's entrance and illuminated signage, there was a small amount of Pavement seating screened off by large planters.
Inside the store was busy with a lively thrum of noise, and a central circular counter surrounded by curvy bench seating to the right and standard tables and chairs in the middle. I was sat on the 2 person tables on the route past the serving hatch to the toilets at the back. The sauce and beverage station was in the corner and was totally bereft of all cutlery for which I had to hunt down a member of staff to get my Knife and fork and ask for them to refill the pots.
The food took a long long time to arrive and I was tired by the wait, when it did arrive it was of a very good quality and the Chicken was tasty and succulent and chips and garlic bread well cooked. No member of staff bothered to come and check if the food was acceptable nor to clean my plates after my meal or offer coffee. The moment the food was plonked on my table was the end of interaction from the staff which was a disappointment.
Toilets were clean but very municipal like a public toilet. Free wifi was a bonus in store. My collectors stamp card is now almost full too.
I would only return to this store if someone else was paying for my parking.
