Newcastle - Central - Ryan Review
This Nando's is just a couple of minutes walk from Newcastle train station - which is also home to CentrAle, an excellent beer shop. Parking is limited and a tad on the expensive side. I managed to get a space in the cheapest option, Heywood Court, which charges Mon-Sat 8am-6pm £1.50/hr and Sun £3 flat rate and is free outside these hours.
Arrived here just after it had opened so it was very quiet. I was claiming the free yellow reward Nando's gave during December, so went for a half chicken with chips and rice. It came very quickly, under five minutes and was a decent size and cooked perfectly - very juicy and saucy. The chips portion was not put in a little bowl so was quite large and the rice was also towering in the dish. Some nice portion sizes for a change! :)
Lots of small booths in this one with plenty of colour on the walls. By the sauce station there's a large circular booth tucked away. Toilets accessed from the back and were very clean, if rather dull. Staff were pleasant.
